Apart from providing personalized and optimal cancer care, Oncology India, through its platform called Prerna. Prerna conducts a number of programs for our patients to create positive awareness about cancer management. This helps them and their families know what to expect and how to best deal with their situation. Information about better treatment options and patient outcomes also gives them a great deal of hope and courage in their journey.
Towards this end, we recently concluded an event where one of our breast cancer survivors shared her story with 20 newly-diagnosed cancer patients. Hers is a tale, which started with despair, continued as a brave struggle and ended in victory. Our Medical Director of Oncology, Dr. Murali Subramanian presided over the event.
